LIST OF MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Current president Mr. George Mouradian spent four months in Armenia lecturing on Quality Control issues.
• Michigan Section subsidized the publication costs of the several key technical books in Armenian language. Currently, these books are utilized by the students of Yerevan State University.
• Efforts are underway to secure building code and specification books to send to Armenia for educational purposes.
• Michigan Section participated in securing monetary endowment of noteworthy scientists in Armenia.
• Through several meetings and seminars Michigan Section has instructed the membership and the Armenian population in general, in improved computer usage.
• Efforts are underway to create jobs in Armenia. Several meeting and seminars were organized to accomplish this. Mr. Arcady Amirian gave a talk about this topic.
• Funds have been provided to Armenian engineers and scientists to work on the creation of interactive CD's, which will be used to teach Armenian language while depicting characters from Armenian folklore.
• Funds provided to Cosmic Ray Division (CRD) to help them during a trying winter season on top of Mount Aragat.
• Through networking efforts have been made to find jobs for members who were looking for positions within their respective technical fields.
